Juko Holiday, Ph.D.

Juko's first job after she graduated from Brown University two decades ago was teaching. Her desire to understand her experiences with depression and to help others navigate it more successfully led her to complete a master's degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University in 2007. She worked for several years as a psychotherapy intern at Women's Clinic and Family Counseling Center in Los Angeles. She currently directs Water Touching Earth Wellness Group, an enterprise dedicated to creating transformative space & learning experiences for people seeking emotional & physical balance, including people who are living with stress, low moods, and emotional difficulties.

She completed a Ph.D in transpersonal psychology at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Now Sofia University) in Palo Alto, California. Her study, Stories Are Medicine: Responding to Deep Sadness with Spirit was successfully defended in spring 2013. You can explore her research by clicking here.

Juko lives in a private forest refuge that serves as a natural outdoor classroom and retreat space.  She enjoys the great company of her husband, dog, and lots of redwood trees. She owns  Ease Mountain Yoga & Wellness, located in Ben Lomond, California.
